Are you passionate about Cyber Security?
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our apprenticeship programme and study a Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced field while receiving structured learning and development.
This is an apprenticeship programme that is based 4 days a week at Bicester Village
This programme will start end of April or beginning of June.
Role Overview
As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will help protect our digital assets from cyber threats. You will learn how to safeguard computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorised access, breaches, and attacks.
To qualify for the apprenticeship programme you must:
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Be eligible to be enrolled on the Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship.
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9–4 (A*–C), including English and Maths.
- Further education is not essential but will be considered as beneficial
- Be a UK resident & must have lived here for 3 consecutive years & must have the right to work in the UK.
- Demonstrate a strong a valid interest in IT and cyber security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated with the latest trends in cybersecurity (attack and defence).
- Learn to monitor computer systems and networks for security breaches.
- Help maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Assist in responding to security incidents and investigating potential threats.
- Learn how to conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
- Help support the development and enforcement of security policies.
- Understand security measures such as firewalls, encryption, endpoint protection and multi-factor authentication.
- Learn about penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
- Help educate staff on security best practices and cyber awareness.
Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
- AI Literacy: Basic familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse security issues and assist in developing solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Diligence in completing tasks accurately.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
