About the Collaboration Centre of Excellence
The Collaboration CoE is responsible for maximising the value of our existing collaboration technologies, keeping environments secure and current, managing fixes, enhancements and releases, supporting technical debt, promoting best practices, collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring documentation is up to date and providing 3rd‑line incident support.
We manage and enable tools used every day across the business, including Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Forms and more), ServiceNow, Space Connect - Desk Bookings, Copilot Agents and InTapp. Our purpose is to educate, embed and exploit collaboration capabilities so teams can work smarter.
Purpose of the role
As a Junior Collaboration Developer, you will help build, improve and support collaboration solutions across multiple platforms. You’ll work alongside Senior Developers to deliver small enhancements, fix issues, assist with reporting, and contribute to training and adoption so colleagues can get the most from our tools. This role helps teams collaborate effectively and supports the business in working smarter every day.
Key responsibilities
Build & enhance
- Configure and develop solutions in SharePoint, Teams and related M365 apps to meet business needs, following CoE standards and governance.
- Implement features and UI improvements to SharePoint sites, including homepage updates and webparts.
- Contribute to the clean-up and maintenance of MS Teams and Sharepoint sites where required.
- Carry out document migrations using ShareGate.
Automation & integration
- Support individual users with Power Automate flows to streamline processes.
- Support Agent initiatives with Microsoft Copilot tools, contributing to safe, governed roll‑out under the CoE’s agent governance framework.
Operations & support
- Participate in 3rd‑line incident support for collaboration platforms, working with the Service Desk and suppliers, contributing to fixes and releases.
- Triage and deliver CoE requests via ServiceNow, ensuring they are captured with the right detail and progressed efficiently.
Training & enablement
- Supporting colleagues in understanding how to use tools properly.
- Translating technical fixes into simple, understandable language.
- Contribute to training materials, short how‑to guides and show‑and‑tell sessions to improve adoption of M365 tools.
Governance & best practice
- Follow CoE standards for security, permissions, documentation, versioning and release notes. Help maintain clear records of changes and support tickets.
Analytics & continuous improvement
- Produce simple usage and storage metrics (e.g. weekly SharePoint stats and Agent sessions) and suggest improvements based on data.
Skills and experience
Essential
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and configuration, especially SharePoint, Teams and Forms.
- Experience with Power Automate flows.
- Understanding of permissions, governance and content lifecycle in M365.
- Exposure to ServiceNow incident requests.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail with a user‑centred mindset.
Desirable
- Experience with Copilot and agent concepts, or Copilot Studio.
- Knowledge of SharePoint modern site design.
- Basic familiarity with InTapp and Space Connect desk booking solutions.
- Comfortable working with suppliers and cross‑functional project teams.
