IT Business Analyst Apprentice - The Bicester Collection

As an IT Business Analyst Apprentice, you will learn about the techniques used by Business Analysts and begin to support and contribute to core IT Project activities.
You’ll be working alongside more experienced BAs, on real life BA deliverables, with the power to improve the systems, processes and digital technologies that underpin our business.
During the 18-month structured apprenticeship, you’ll also have the opportunity to work towards professional industry recognised qualifications. You’ll have a learning and development journey mapped across the duration of your apprenticeship, working with both external and internal mentors to shape your future career and build a portfolio of BA skills including:-
- Investigation Techniques
- Business Process Modelling
- Requirements Engineering and Management
- Data Modelling
- Gap Analysis
- Acceptance Testing
- Stakeholder Analysis and Management
- Business Impact Assessments
- Agile Ways of Working.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting strategy definition and business case development for new initiatives.
- Producing high quality requirements documentation
- Supporting business process mapping activities and solution design workshops
- Working closely with the Development team throughout the project life cycle to ensure that the requirements are understood and development is aligned
- Reviewing functional specifications / system design to ensure that the proposed solution will meet requirements
- Developing User Acceptance Test Scripts and support the UAT process
- Working closely with IT and business delivery teams to ensure smooth launch / go-lives
- Working closely with training resources to deliver training aspects, as and when required
Role requirements - All about you:
- You have a keen interest in learning and self-development
- You’re enthusiastic when it comes to dealing with changes or new challenges
- You’re collaborative when it comes to working with others and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You can proactively maintain a balance between work and learning
- You will also need to have both English and Maths at Grade C/ Level 4 or above at GCSE level or equivalent.
The apprenticeship is designed to give you the required learning and qualifications to become a business analysis professional. It is definitely not expected that you apply to the scheme with any prior business analysis qualifications (although if you do, and you want to apply, go ahead!).
Qualification you will be working towards:
- The BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
