As a Senior Retail Operations Manager, you will drive retail performance and operational excellence by leading cross‑functional workflows, supporting retail teams and brands, and delivering impactful people, client experience and operational initiatives across the Village.

What you will be doing

  1. Team & Workflow Management
  • Manage and organize the allocation of tasks between the Retail Operations Coordinator and the Retail Coordinator, tailoring the operational support provided to each Retail Manager.
  • Ensure close follow‑up of the Coordinators missions and deliverables.
  • Support the Retail Director in ensuring the successful rollout of the 2026 strategy.
  • Act as Retail Budget Owner, with responsibility for PO validation and financial tracking.
  • Oversee retail team planning management in partnership with the Retail Coordinator.
  • Supervise brand communications to ensure relevance, clarity, and timely delivery.

2. Talent Development & Recruitment

  • Lead the organization of Talent Days (3 per year) including: coordination with brand HR partners, candidate communication, job listings, and event logistics.
  • Develop new ideas and initiatives to better support brands with staffing challenges.
  • Attend external recruitment events (4/year) to promote the Village and attract new talents.

3. People Engagement & Retention Programs

  • Plan and elevate internal events to strengthen employee engagement and loyalty, including:
    • January 1st Reward Program
    • White Dinner (1,200 participants)
    • Christmas Party (220 participants)
    • Afterwork Events (target: 200 participants per event)
  • Coordinate Black Friday in‑store treats and other key seasonal activations.

4. Client Experience & Hospitality

  • Serve as the main retail contact for the Guest Experience & Clientelling Engagement Team, ensuring alignment between retail operations and hospitality initiatives.

 

5. Customer Experience Assessment

  • Lead the Brand Ambassador Programme (3 per year): organize calls, coordinate training sessions, follow up with Retail Managers, analyze results, and build improvement action plans.
  • Manage the Customer Voice program in partnership with IESEG Business School, complementing the Brand Ambassador Programme (3/year).

6. Tools, Systems & Retail Enablers

  • Act as the primary retail contact for Global Blue and Planet, ensuring teams remain informed about Tax Free retail innovations.
  • Monitor payment methods per store and act as the liaison with central and local partnership teams for key operational initiatives.
  • Oversee the rollout of the Central Brand Satisfaction Survey and follow through with improvement action plans.

 

7. Operations & Store Support

  • Serve as the main retail link with local Operations teams to ensure flawless execution on the ground.
  • Manage off‑site storage operations, coordinating with Operations, Retail Managers, brands, and external partners; oversee daily monitoring and identify development opportunities.
  • Support partner brands with sustainability initiatives (waste management, energy‑saving actions).
  • Lead or support operational projects such as WiFi deployment, brand footfall tracking, and queue management plan

8. Legal & Compliance

  • Oversee Price Audits (4 per year) including planning, reporting, results analysis, and follow‑up on action plans.

  • Experience in retail with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Leadership without direct management responsibilities
  • Proficiency in reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
  • Background in business, fashion, luxury, or client relations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent listening skills, patience, understanding and resilience.
